Fall Break has arrived and not a moment too soon! Last Friday I went to the Christmas tree lighting at Victoria Gardens and invited my family to come along. David had to work the football game that night, but Melissa came down with the boys and joined my mom and me for the lighting. It was super crowded and we couldn't find parking at the mall, so we had to park across the street at Bass Pro Shop. We missed the actual tree lighting, but watched the firework show in the sky as we walked to the tree. When we got to the tree, it was still "snowing" and Baby Jonathan loved it! He kept reaching up and yelling at it; he was SO excited!
The older boys had seen the bubbly snow many times at Disneyland, but it was a first for Jonathan.
Here we are with the tree in the background:
After spending some time at the tree lighting, we decided to go play in Bass Pro Shop since we were already parked there anyways. Just when I thought that store couldn't get any more magical, they added an awesome carousel!
Somehow I didn't get a decent picture of Cy on the carousel : (
Afterwards, we went to look at the fish, which the boys always love!
We hung out for awhile and played with everything that we could before going back to my house for some hot chocolate. It was a fun night and a great way to start a much needed week off!
