In December, Scott and I attempted a San Diego Zoo trip, which morphed into a Safari Park trip because the zoo was way too crowded. It ended up being a more fun day that we had initially anticipated, but we kinda wanted to do the zoo! So, we tried again (in June) and attempt number 2 was much more successful! We didn't get to feed the giraffes (BOOOO!!!) since we had to go on a Friday (scheduling issues) and they only let you feed them on Saturdays, but we did get to see these amazing creatures!
We had a polar bear encounter!
And saw the CUTEST little panda and its momma!
And here we are, NOT feeding the giraffes...grrr!!! ;)
Even though we didn't get to feed the giraffes, we still had a pretty awesome day!
We got dinner at Phil's BBQ and actually got to eat there since the line was pretty short! And, of course, Scott had to be introduced to the woopie pie! It was fantastic! Overall, a day well-spent!
