When I was about four years old, I watched the Harlem Globetrotters on TV with my dad. I remember thinking they were the coolest ever! I also distinctly remember my dad whistling their theme song, "Sweet Georgia Brown" and thinking that was the coolest song ever! Because of this, I have always been fascinated by the Harlem Globetrotters and their basketball tricks! Fast forward to about 5 years ago when I was at Sea World and a few of the Globetrotters came out and did a little teaser performance before one of the animal shows. Once again, I was completely blown away! Those were the guys I'd thought were amazing since childhood! As a result, they went on my bucket list! It was a done deal; I had to see them!
This past October, I was browsing through an email from Groupon and came across the Globetrotters performing at Citizen's Bank Arena in Ontario! This was it! I also knew that my parents, particularly my dad, would also love to see them, so I bought them tickets for Christmas and bought myself a ticket as well!
We had to wait until February 6th to see them, but when the day finally came, we were all super excited! After an awesome show/game, we got to go down to the court and actually got to meet one of the Globetrotters and get our picture with him! It was the coolest! I'm not typically starstruck, but these were the guys I'd loved since I was just a little girl. I know none of the players are the same ones that I saw as a kid, but it was awesome just the same! I loved getting to see it with my parents and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to see them play!
